Installation

The Dine-A-Chook Big Red Chicken Drinker is easy to set up. Use the rear moulded hooks to secure it with the supplied mounting kit on timber or steel. Once installed, remove the lockable lid and fill it with clean water. To test the Lubing Cups, press the yellow float down—water should fill the reservoir. Chickens quickly learn to use this ingenious system.

Thanks to the Lubing Cup and float engineering, our drinkers keep the coop floor dry. If the cups become soiled, simply rinse with a hose. The pressure won't damage the Lubing Cup or float, ensuring your chickens always have access to clean water.

Mounting Your Chicken Drinker

• Fix the unit to timber or steel using the included hooks or brackets and screws.
• Position the waterer so that even the smallest bird can access it.
• Consider placing the drinker in a shady spot to keep the water cool.

Water Consumption

The average hen drinks up to 500ml per day, with variations based on age and breed. For adequate hydration, consider a second waterer if your flock exceeds four birds.

Water Usage Examples:

• 2 Chickens: One 4-litre drinker lasts about 4 days. Check after 3 days.
• 6-8 Chickens: Check the drinker daily.

For flocks larger than 8, purchase multiple drinkers and place them around the coop or run in shady spots to ensure easy access.
